Default 5 ways to save money in training, oh really?

I think someone could make a case against 141.
How many of those schools require someone to plunk down a huge chunk of money up front to start their training?
I talked with someone, working at an FBO desk, that was swindled out of $80,000 from a part 141 school that went out of business. All she has to show for it, is a private pilot's license.

Never ever give a school money up front because you never know when they are going to under! I am a owner to a flight school and we are doing well! I always tell every the best thing that you can do to play it safe is to by 10 hr at a time. So if the school close up shop then you only lose $ 1200.00 its always better to lose $1200 than $80,000.00
